Sadie Amara Calvano was born in America. Her most famous role is known for her role as Violet Plunkett from the CBS show 'Mom.' Calvano, a Californian native initially was interested in competitive gymnastics. Then, she made the decision to pursue a career in acting. In 2010, she made her debut on screen in a scene from the CBS show 'NCIS.' A year later, her first big-screen appearance was in the biographical thriller production J Edgar. Over the years she's established herself as one of the top young actresses in the current industry. She was nominated in 2011 for the Young Artist Award in the category of Outstanding Performance for Young Actresses aged 11-15 for her work on NCIS. The year 2013 saw Calvano selected again to receive an award called a Young Artist Award. This time, for her appearance in Disney XD's "Kickin The 'It'. Calvano was featured in a variety in the episodes "Mom" during its 4th season. She was a main character in the first three seasons of the show. In 2015, her performance in 'Mom" earned her the Gracie Allen Award as Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star.
